Chris Wilson Benefit Show
It is with deep regret that we announce that Chris Wilson has been diagnosed with cancer and has been forced to cancel all of his gigs.
Chris Wilson is a professional musician. The forced cancellation of gigs will obviously cause him financial hardship at what is already an extremely difficult time. So, rather than cancel this show, The Adelaide Roots and Blues Association have decided to go ahead and turn it into a Chris Wilson benefit show. All profits from this show will go directly to Chris Wilson. Chris' Adelaide band; Sweet Baby James Meston and Rob Eyers will be joined by Dave Blight (harmonica) and Denis Surmon (bass) for an evening of Chris Wilson's music.
If you are already a ticket holder for the Chris Wilson "Winter Blues" show and you wish to attend the Benefit show, you do not need to do anything. The tickets you already have will gain you entry. If you do not wish to attend this show you are entitled to a full refund. To secure a refund please email email@example.com and supply the full name your tickets were purchased under and how many tickets you require a refund for. We ask that you do this ASAP to allow others who may wish to attend the benefit to purchase tickets.
With some cancellations tickets to the Benefit show are now available HERE.
If capacity is reached click the "wait list" option and you may secure tickets if there are further cancellations.

Autumn Blues with Fiona Boyes 28/4/18
What a show! Fiona was in fine fettle, opening with a solo acoustic set and working her way through her very fine guitar and Guitar Box collection. A spellbinding mix of guttural dirty blues and thought provoking blues ballad. Her story telling is exemplary and we hung on every word.
Enter the boys for the second set and we were lifted to the next level and then the next! "The Anchor" Dennis Kipridis on bass, solid and musical as ever. "Shuffle king" Micky Garcia. adding subtle spice and bite, sometimes mean, some times lean. "Cumon Snooks where are you? get up here!" Then to the next level of superb interplay exchanging and weaving throughout solos and melodic story lines . extremely impassioned stuff!
Fiona is the real deal and an absolute gem and the lads truly held their own.
Honoured to have been part of your journey to our deep south, Fiona. Please come back again!
