Driving back to our accommodation that night it was spotto Roo down to 50k stop start on the open road lost count at 60 with a good few scrubbers amongst them, exciting stuff!
Next morning brekky done and off to Whyalla, one more live to air at 5YYY then to Lefties to set up and sound check, all in 43deg. heat. To the Accommodation, a Deco hotel lost in time and feeling the ravages, never saw any one about, kinda spooky.
The show that night was a real buzz as we took the crowd and ourselves on a hammond driven blues journey, I loved every minute I was in this fine venue, the setting, the sound, the very friendly and generous people were with us all the way. Job done, a slow pack and back to the motel for one more malt, then down the eerie hallway, I collapsed into my bed for a much earned sleep; Adelaide and the Workers Club tomorrow.
